Why buyers from the Brainport region look across the border
In Eindhoven, Veldhoven, Waalre and Best, demand for large detached homes has grown sharply in recent years, driven by the region's technology companies. Supply has not kept up. Anyone looking for a villa with more than 400 m² of living space, a home office and a pool finds little in the Brainport region and pays heavily for it.
Many buyers from south-east Brabant therefore already look at Belgium, but at the border villages of Limburg and the Kempen, such as Lommel, Mol and Arendonk. Antwerp's northern edge is a little further and offers something different: residential villa districts in the woods, with Antwerp a quarter of an hour away, international schools and an airport close by.

The route is simple: the A67 to the border at Hapert, then the E34 past Turnhout towards Antwerp and via Zoersel and Schilde to Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor. There is no city on the way, so the journey time is predictable.
A house for hybrid working
If you spend two or three days a week at the High Tech Campus or with a supplier and work from home the rest of the week, an hour's drive is very manageable.
