The space of the Gooi, without the price of Laren
Laren, Blaricum, Bilthoven and Zeist have the villas the whole of the Netherlands dreams of: in the woods, on generous plots, with a good name. That is exactly why they are scarce and expensive. If you do not need to be in the office every day, you can find the same way of living a good hour further south. The villa districts of Schilde, Brasschaat and Brecht are the Belgian counterpart of the Gooi: wooded, residential, with golf and hockey around the corner and a major city a quarter of an hour away.

The route follows the A27 to Breda, the A16 south from there and, after the border, the E19 to the Sint-Job-in-'t-Goor exit. By train you travel via Rotterdam or Breda to Noorderkempen station in Brecht.
